WHAT MATERIALS DO YOU USE TO MAKE YOUR DRAWINGS?
I use compressed charcoal in blocks and charcoal powder. About half of the marks in the drawings are charcoal, and the other half are reductive marks made with a gum eraser. I rarely use any white charcoal, letting the untouched paper create the white spaces for me. I use a variety of papers to get different textural effects, but my go-to papers are Stonehenge 250gsm, Somerset Satin, and Fabriano Artistico HP.

WHERE CAN I SEE YOUR WORK IN PERSON?
I post upcoming exhibitions on the welcome page of my website. In addition, I am represented by Russo Lee Gallery in Portland, OR and they keep a collection of my works on site for anyone to view. If you are in the Vancouver, BC area, I'd be happy to set up a studio visit over email.

CAN I COMMISSION A CUSTOM DRAWING?
Yes you can! If you are interested in commissioning a drawing, please email me >here< and include all relevant information (timeline, size, your idea, and favourite pieces on my website (to reference style).

HOW LONG DOES A COMMISSION TAKE?
The time to complete a drawing depends on a few things: Size, content, detail, and current demand. The physical execution of the work will be completed by an agreed-upon date, and final delivery may vary depending on framing options and your location (local delivery/shipping distance, etc).

CAN I COMMISSION A DRAWING OF A SPECIFIC PLACE, OR TREE, OR THING?
Of course! If you would like to provide me with photos you took, please include them in your correspondence, or I can create your commission based on your prompts and my own research process. If you're interested in a more conceptual approach to depicting a place, we can discuss inspiration sources and approach over online consultation.
